Mateo Flores grew up in Riverton, the son of a public-school teacher and a small-business owner. He worked his way through college, came home to teach, and went on to serve on the Riverton City Council — where he built a reputation for showing up and getting things done.

From the classroom to city hall, Mateo has spent his career fighting for hardworking local families. Now he carries that experience home to the people of the 9th District.

Led the effort to open three community health clinics, expanding care for thousands of rural families.
