Meet Sarah

Teacher.
Proven public servant.

Sarah Whitfield grew up in Riverton, the daughter of a public-school teacher and a small-business owner. She worked her way through college, came home to teach, and went on to serve on the Riverton City Council — where she built a reputation for showing up and getting things done.

From the classroom to city hall, Sarah has spent her career fighting for hardworking local families. Now she carries that experience home to the people of the 9th District.

On the issues

Four priorities built around what families across the 9th District actually need.

i.

  • Lower the cost of prescriptions and everyday care
  • Protect access to affordable care for families
ii.

Investing in Education

Our teachers are underpaid, and our students deserve modern, well-staffed schools.
  • Raise pay for our teachers
  • Secure federal funding to modernize our schools
  • Expand access to counselors and mental-health professionals
iii.

Jobs & Opportunity

Building an inclusive, resilient economy that works for everyone in the 9th District.
  • Bring good-paying jobs to the district
  • Support small businesses and workforce training
  • Expand broadband to every corner of the district
iv.

Safer, Stronger Communities
